The TAMA Imperialstar shells are crafted from six plies of lightweight poplar. Poplar is renowned for its quick decay and full-bodied tone, which are ideal for close-miking applications both onstage and in the studio.
The Imperialstar's attractive wrapped finishes are fully glued 360° around the shells, preventing any buzzing or lifting. This results in a consistently resonant tone and long-lasting good looks.
