Pamela Butler-Ryker is Artistic Director of the Classical Tuesdays in Old Town Chamber Music Series in Tacoma. She is Instructor of Flute at Olympic College and at Annie Wright School. She has performed with the Tacoma Symphony and Tacoma Concert Band and the Second City Chamber Series. She has coached many years for both the Tacoma and Seattle Youth Symphonies and for Marrowstone Music Festival. She has taught on the faculties of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, and the University of Washington (which is also her undergraduate and graduate alma mater).

A devoted supporter of new music, Ms. Ryker has performed with The Contemporary Group at the University of Washington and the New Music Ensemble of Wisconsin, and co-founded Fear No Music, a prominent west coast new music ensemble. She has recorded two compact discs for Perspectives of New Music. She is active with Seattle Flute Society and National Flute Association.

In addition, Ms. Ryker is now offering lessons on the recorder.
