About

Daniel Harris is a music performer, multi-instrumentalist (specializing in guitar), singer, songwriter, recording artist, and teacher. He has been active in music since 1998. In addition to guitar, he also plays mandolin, banjo, bass, ukulele, piano, and percussion.

Performance

Mr. Harris has performed throughout the Northwest in a variety of settings including weddings, private parties, restaurants, and even street busking. He has served as Music Ministry Director at several churches in the Puget Sound. His classical performances include Masterclasses at the University of Washington.

Recordings

Daniel has recorded numerous albums under various pseudonyms including Acoustic Guitar Poet, Christmas on Guitar, and Hymns Guitar Poet. His music, both originals and covers, is streamed daily around the world. His guitar work can also be heard in ensembles such as Christmas Music Holiday Trio and Life Hymns Worship Trio.

Teaching

As an instructor, Daniel has worked with hundreds of student over the last 20+ years in private lessons, as well as group sessions. He has taught for Fender Guitar Camps, mentored bands, and led guitar clinics for the Ted Brown Music summer band program, Live it OutLoud. He has also coached instrumentalists in Church Workshops. Students of Daniel have gone on to attend music conservatory, form bands, teach guitar, become music ministers, and win talent competitions.

Education & Styles

Daniel has learned from some of the greatest musicians in the world. He has performed and studied in guitar Masterclasses at the University of Washington with classical artists such as Grammy winner, David Russell, as well as Eduardo Fernandez and David Leisner. He has also studied with renowned fingerstylist and national guitar contest champion, John Standefer.

With an interest in many styles, Daniel has explored a wide array of musical genres and instruments. Styles include, but are not limited to: classical, jazz, fingerstyle, blues, rock, country, bluegrass, folk, pop, praise & worship, and more.
