Neil was born and raised in England and started studying music at the age of seven when he became a chorister at his church. Soon after, he began Clarinet and Piano lessons, eventually adding Saxophone when he was sixteen. After high school he attended and graduated from the City of Leeds College of Music with a Performance Degree in Jazz and Light Music on Sax Flute and Clarinet. Post college Neil toured with bands in Europe eventually coming to the States to gig, and build a successful career in musical instrument retail and teaching Private lessons. Neil has been teaching privately for over 35 years. He improvises his lessons to fit the individual needs of the student and teaches beginners through advanced on Saxophone, Flute, and Clarinet. Lessons are fun and casual mostly, yet can take a serious turn when prepping for Auditions, Solo & Ensemble performance, or an important solo.
