I'm relatively new to the area, having only lived here 3 years. Prior to moving to the Tri-Cities I lived most of my life in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia, where I started learning violin in 4th grade. I continued with strings all the way up to high school graduation. I had the honor of playing in All State Orchestra my Junior year, as well as Honor's Orchestra all 4 years of high school. I played with a small group organized by the string program director in weddings and other events, even playing in my own teacher's wedding right before my senior year.

After graduating high school I continued to play on my own, even during my gap year study abroad in Taiwan with the Violin Club at the university. After graduating WVU with a degree in Biology and Chinese in 2021 I moved to the Tri-Cities with my family. Almost exactly a year from moving here, I got the call from my old strings teacher that they desperately needed a teacher for Hedgesville. I leapt at the chance and before I knew it I had driven across the country and dove right into teaching strings for grades 3-12. Throughout that year I learned so much, and renewed my passion for strings education, even picking up some private lessons students along the way. After another hiatus, an opportunity has presented itself for me here at Ted Brown Music, and I very much look forward to teaching lessons again.
