TAMA's dedicated product team has focused their efforts on developing direct drive bass drum pedals. Direct drive pedals offer the distinct advantage of immediate energy transfer and rapid beater motion. Recognizing the potential for a perfectly balanced direct drive pedal, the team aimed to harmonize three essential performance elements: power, speed, and feel.
The design process centered around three key components: the direct drive linkage, the drive cam, and the drive/footboard connection angle. By collaborating with a diverse group of TAMA artists, the team gained valuable insights into the needs and preferences of high-level players. This collaborative approach allowed for a deep understanding of the subtle mechanical relationships and angle alignments required for optimal performance. The result was the Dynamic Synchronization System, a design that addresses the feel and power challenges often associated with other direct drive pedals.
The Dyna-Sync pedal from TAMA introduces a new balance of power, speed, and feel in a direct drive pedal, challenging traditional assumptions. This pedal offers drummers of all styles and skill levels the ability to fine-tune their setup, providing a unique direct drive experience.
