The Fox 240 Renard Artist bassoon is crafted from carefully selected cured maple, which contributes to its deep, resonant sound. It features a French bell adorned with a stylish metal ring and includes a body lock. The wing and small bore of the boot are lined to protect against moisture damage, and nickel-silver water tubes are integrated into the bore to prevent moisture buildup in the toneholes.
Fox’s dedication to keywork is evident in the 240 model, which features a full German key system with silver-plated keys. The keys are meticulously hand-mounted by Fox’s team of expert assemblers.
